The competition is open to all Bachelor’s and Master’s students at Óbuda University who successfully defended their thesis/diploma work in either the first or second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. There are no restrictions on the topic of the solution or result presented in the thesis — it can involve designing and developing a product prototype, creating a marketable service, or a design project.

How to apply:

I. Send your thesis/diploma work in PDF format to innovacio@uni-obuda.hu.

II. Before submitting your application, ask your thesis/diploma work supervisor for an online confirmation/recommendation stating that your work is suitable for the competition and meets the requirements. Please send this together with your thesis/diploma work to innovacio@uni-obuda.hu.

Key evaluation criteria:

  • the innovativeness and originality of the result/solution described in the thesis
  • the marketability of the development and the market gap it fills
  • the soundness of the underlying economic/financial calculations
  • the level of detail and the overall quality of execution

The University provides the one-time award, up to the amount won, in the form of a voucher redeemable at electronics stores.
