From Idea to Impact — Innovation Pathways at Obuda University
At Obuda University, innovation is more than a concept — it is a journey.
We provide a complete support pipeline that transforms ideas and research results into solutions with measurable social and economic impact. We connect students, researchers, and partners to co-create solutions, protect intellectual property, and build ventures that matter.
Innovation at Obuda University is a shared journey — and no one travels it alone.
The Innovation Office stands at its heart, acting as a central connector, it links people, knowledge, and opportunities across the university’s innovation ecosystem.Across the university, key stations along this road help ideas grow and reach impact: the Research and Innovation Centre (EKIK), the Initium Venture Labs incubator, the Obuda University Venture Capital (OUVC), and our three emerging Science and Innovation Parks. Each plays a unique role in turning research into real-world value.

The innovation journey:
Pre-incubation & Education

Acceleration
Throughout every stage, our in-house experts, mentors, and corporate partners ensure that innovative concepts do not remain on paper, but become ventures, technologies, and services that make a difference. We combine opportunities for hands-on innovation and entrepreneurship education with a dynamic innovation infrastructure across campus — building the foundation of an “Investor University” culture where talent, research, and industry meet.
