Invention Disclosure
Invention disclosure form – introduction
Before an invention can be evaluated, protected, or commercialized, it must be formally disclosed to the university. Filling in the Invention Disclosure Form is the first official step in this process.
The purpose of the disclosure is to ensure that:
- the invention is properly recorded and dated,
- the rights of all inventors and contributors are acknowledged,
- patentability and ownership can be assessed, and
- potential protection and commercialization pathways can be identified.
Once submitted (at innovacio@uni-obuda.hu), the Innovation Office will review the disclosure, assess the invention’s novelty and applicability, and contact you to discuss the next steps — including the preparation for university decision-making processes, possible patent protection, licensing, or collaboration with external partners.
Please complete the form carefully, providing all relevant information about your invention, co-inventors, and any prior publications or funding sources.
