Insight into the world of startups │ Career paths in the focus of INNOMEET

The Bosch Hall at the Kandó Kálmán Dormitory of Óbudai Egyetem was filled to capacity during the 13th INNOMEET event, organized by Obuda Uni Venture Capital, where participants explored future career opportunities.

The event was opened by Imre Hild, CEO of OUVC, followed by Evelin Urbancsok, who shared her personal university journey and demonstrated how an engineering background can lead to the world of startups and venture capital. Csaba Árvai presented the current career opportunities within OUVC’s portfolio companies and introduced the new career platform, emphasizing that students can gain meaningful professional experience beyond traditional student jobs even during their university years.

During the evening, participants of the roundtable discussions explored how a consciously designed internship program can become a real professional springboard, and what crucial role university–corporate partnerships play in this process. Experts highlighted that involving young talents creates value on both sides, bringing fresh perspectives and innovation to organizations.

Attendees also gained direct insights into the internal operations of startups.

The discussions covered the increased levels of responsibility typical at growing companies, the dynamic work environment, and the key skills essential for success in this sector.

The event concluded with informal networking that extended well beyond the planned timeframe. The long conversations and relationship-building between students and professionals confirmed the strong interest within the university community in the startup ecosystem and alternative career paths.
