Sentient City is a generative AI-powered urban mobility simulation platform designed to help cities make better infrastructure and transportation decisions by modeling human behavior rather than focusing solely on vehicles. Acting as a next-generation digital twin, the platform creates synthetic personas that simulate how residents move, make transportation choices, and respond to policy interventions in a realistic urban environment.

The platform enables municipalities, transportation authorities, and urban planners to evaluate the impact of infrastructure projects and mobility policies before implementation. By running side-by-side simulations, users can compare different scenarios—such as new bike lanes, public transport improvements, traffic restrictions, or mobility incentives—and analyze their effects on travel behavior, congestion, and overall city performance.

Unlike traditional traffic modeling tools, Sentient City places human decision-making at the center of the simulation process. The system leverages AI-generated personas, natural-language policy inputs, and large-scale behavioral modeling to provide a faster, more intuitive, and more accessible approach to urban planning and mobility analysis.

Currently, the platform operates on a working Budapest-based prototype and is preparing for its first commercial pilot projects. The long-term vision is to become a leading AI-powered decision-support platform for smart cities, enabling more sustainable, efficient, and human-centered urban development.
