Demola @ Óbuda University – The Final Event Successfully Concluded! 🚀

One of the most exciting milestones of the Demola program, the Final Event, has arrived.

During the two-day event, student teams finalized their presentations and showcased demo versions of their projects to corporate partners and a professional audience. These demos provided an opportunity for participants not only to present their ideas but also to demonstrate in practice how their proposed solutions would work. Following the presentations, corporate partners offered valuable professional feedback, helping the teams identify opportunities for further development.

The diversity of the projects was well illustrated by the Scanora concept. The team developed an AI-powered spatial commerce platform that enables small businesses and creators to transform their product presentations into 3D and AR experiences through a simple smartphone-based process. The solution aims to allow customers to explore products in their real-world environment before making a purchase, helping them make more confident decisions while keeping the technological complexity hidden in the background.

However, the Final Event does not mark the end of the journey—it often represents a new beginning.

One of the most important features of the Demola program is that all project outcomes and intellectual property created during the program remain entirely owned by the students. The future of the ideas and concepts developed over the past weeks is now in the hands of the teams themselves.

These projects can be further developed into thesis topics, serve as the foundation for launching startups, or become the starting point for long-term collaborations with participating companies. Demola is not merely an innovation program; it is an opportunity that can create a real pathway for students from idea to implementation.

We are especially pleased that, out of more than 80 applicants, 52 students ultimately joined the program from six different universities. This clearly demonstrates that the innovation community at Óbuda University extends far beyond the boundaries of a single institution. We believe that the best ideas emerge through collaboration, which is why we particularly value the fact that participants from different universities enriched each other’s work with diverse knowledge, experiences, and perspectives. Once again, the Demola program proved that inter-university collaboration, knowledge sharing, and collective thinking not only generate innovative solutions but also build a strong and inspiring community.

We are proud of the creativity, commitment, and innovative thinking demonstrated by the students over the past six weeks. The program once again showed that multidisciplinary collaboration and practical problem-solving can create real value for both students and corporate partners.
