🚀 Startup Experiences First-Hand – Óbuda University Students at the EU-Startups Summit in Malta

What is it like to attend one of Europe’s largest startup events, where founders, investors, and innovators come together to share ideas and experiences? This year, a group of Óbuda University students found out for themselves thanks to the support of the Innovation Office, which enabled them to participate in the EU-Startups Summit in Malta.

The Innovation Office provided three students with the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the international startup ecosystem. During the two-day event, some of Europe’s most exciting startups, entrepreneurs, and innovation professionals gathered in one place, allowing participants not only to gain inspiration but also to build valuable connections. 🌍

The students represented the Obuda Innovation Laboratory (O.I.L.) community in Malta. O.I.L. is a university-based innovation hub where ideas can evolve into projects, and projects can grow into startups. 💡 Its mission is to foster student innovation and connect talented university students with key players in the innovation ecosystem.

Throughout the summit, participants met mentors, startup founders, and corporate professionals, gained insights into the latest industry trends, and experienced first-hand how the startup world operates on an international level.

The event was also attended by David Trayford, coach and communication expert, and a member of Óbuda University’s Communications Office, who led his own session during the summit.

“This trip gave us a tremendous amount of inspiration. We not only gained a deeper understanding of the startup ecosystem, but also learned how we, as students, can play an active role in it and contribute to the further development of the O.I.L. community,” the participants shared.
