🎓 Demola @ Óbuda University – the 10-week challenge has begun!

On Thursday, April 23, the Demola program officially kicked off. More than 40 students arrived at Óbuda University from six different universities to take part in the Demola kick-off event—including participants from BME, METU, and ELTE, with some even traveling from as far as Miskolc to join the program.

How does Demola work?
Students applied in advance for company challenges that matched their interests. These challenges were provided by real companies in collaboration with Demola, giving participants the opportunity to work on authentic, real-world problems. After arriving, students formed teams, got to know each other, and familiarized themselves with their projects.

Throughout the day, teams analyzed the problems in depth, aiming to identify the most critical pain points for the companies. By the end of the day, corporate partners also joined, discussing the challenges together with the teams—giving students valuable business insights and a broader perspective.

Work continued on Friday, April 24. Teams began developing concrete solutions, and by the end of the day, each group presented an initial demo version of their idea.

In just two days, students learned how to collaborate effectively in teams, work alongside real industry leaders, present ideas in a structured way, and perform in real-world scenarios—all enhanced with the support of AI tools.

Over the next 10 weeks, teams will continue working on their challenges. The Innovation Office will host weekly working hours sessions, where teams can meet in person and further develop their projects. At the end of the program, participants will present their solutions to Demola’s corporate partners.

We’re excited to see what they create. 🚀
